Investment Criteria

When evaluating a potential investment, we are opportunistic in our approach and consider companies from a broad spectrum of industries. We have an affinity toward established end markets with long-term growth prospects, proprietary products and/or services, and businesses with an identifiable competitive advantage.

Our team is experienced with both off-market and marketed sale processes. In either case, we pride ourselves on exploring deals in a fair, flexible and creative manner. Learn more about
our approach working with sellers.

  • For platform companies, we focus on businesses with annual revenues between $10 and $100 million.

We have no minimum revenue requirements for add-on acquisitions.

  • History of long-term profitable growth and favorable free cash flow. We’re not interested in financially stressed companies.

  • We look for a strong EBITDA margin relative to the company’s industry.

  • We can unlock the most value working alongside capable management teams with on-the-ground knowledge and expertise.

  • Our portfolio spans the U.S., with many businesses concentrated in the Midwest given our location.

  • What sets your company apart? We look for an identifiable competitive advantage and long-term growth prospects.
