Experienced Business Leader Marc Hill Joins Borgman Capital as Managing Director - Portfolio Management
MILWAUKEE – (OCTOBER 3, 2024) – Private equity firm Borgman Capital today announced business executive Marc Hill has joined the organization as Managing Director – Portfolio Management, with responsibility for value creation within the firm’s portfolio of operating companies.

Hill brings deep operating experience and leadership to Borgman Capital. Most recently, he served for seven years as chief executive officer of Milwaukee pet food company Stella and Chewy’s. Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of outdoor recreation equipment supplier Coleman. Past roles include CEO of the U.S. Playing Card Co., owner of the Bicycle brand, and Divisional Senior Vice President at Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd., the parent company of Milwaukee Tool. He started his career with Black and Decker and helped launch DeWalt in Europe.

Borgman Capital’s current investment portfolio includes seven platform companies spanning the United States and diverse industries. Companies include Technical Products, Inc. (Cleveland, Ohio), Gilman Cheese Corporation (Gilman, Wis.) and Southeastern Meats (Birmingham, Ala.). Through its real estate practice, Borgman Capital also invests in industrial, office, multi-family, and mixed-use properties.
Hill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Oregon—Charles H. Lundquist College of Business. He will be based in Portland, Oregon, where he resides with his wife and daughter. Locally, Marc is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Catlin Gabel School. Marc is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the Association for Corporate Governance (ACG).
